“THE GUITAR AND THE POTICS OF ATAHUALPA YUPANQUI” – Argentine and South American folk strumming techniques

Atahualpa Yupanqui, stage name of Héctor Roberto Chavero, was born in the city of Pergamino on January 31, 1908 and died in Nîmes, France on May 23, 1992. He is widely considered the most important Argentine musician in the history of folklore. In 1986 France decorated him as a Knight of the Order of Musical Arts and Letters. Guitar solos and the most emblematic songs of this composer who also knew how to be a poet, writer, school teacher and rural worker.
